Military branch issues statement regarding Israeli threats of total invasion

"We will confront any Israeli invasion with our guns, rockets, mortars, roadside bombs and the determination of our fighters," began a statement released by the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military branch of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, on Sunday, May 11, 2008.

The statement reaffirmed the Front's commitment to armed struggle as long as occupation exists. It also reaffirmed its rejection to any "calm" with the Israeli enemy at the expense of our people. The military branch saluted the martyrs of the latest Israeli massacre in south Gaza, in which an entire family was killed, noting that Israel is targeting entire families and causing heavy civilian casualties with every attack. Furthermore, AAMB said that all Israeli colonies and cities will remain targets continuously as the aggression of the occupation is continuing against our people in Palestine.

AAMB also announced the following operations as part of its continuing resistance with a barrage of rockets, missiles and mortars: On Saturday, May 10, AAMB fired Sumoud rockets toward Sderot and the Western Naqab at 7:38, followed by two developed rockets fired toward Sofa crossing.

AAMB also fired Sumoud rockets at Asqelan and the colony of Sderot at 12:50 PM, and also launched 80 mm mortars on Erez crossing, the colony of Nativ Haasarah, and the colony of Kfar Azza, and targeted Kibbutz Saad with 3 mortars.
