The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said on January 10, 2009, that all of the Palestinian resistance are locked in fierce battles throughout Gaza, noting that the occupation has used nearly all of its massive arsenal of weaponry against our people, yet has failed miserably in the face of the steadfastness of our people and our resistance.
AAMB also said that the joint coordination between the various arms of the military resistance should be expanded to become a joint operations room that can continue through the next battles with the occupier, to cause maximum impact to the occupier's forces.
AAMB said further that the UN Security Council resolution 1860 attempts to equalize the murderer and his victim, and that our people have a right to resist and respond to the aggression, saying that our people have no option but the continuation of our resistance until the end of aggression.
AAMB reported on the advances of the resistance, noting that fighters of the Brigades were locked in fierce clashes with occupation forces in Jabal al-Rais on Saturday, January 10, as well as 3 massive explosions of explosive devices utilizing a tunnel in the evening of January 10, catching fire to occupation military vehicles and severely damaging them.
In addition, AAMB announced that it fired mortars at Azata and two Grad rockets at Bir Saba earlier in the day, among the Palestinian resistance's 32 rockets aimed into the heart of the occupation. Palestinian resistance forces also noted that their missiles were reaching 45 kilometers in distance, hitting an Israeli main air force base, the furthest point yet hit by the rockets of the resistance. Ambushes, sniping of Israeli soldiers and fierce clashes with occupation soldiers are taking place throughout Gaza from all resistance forces, including al-Qassam Brigades, Saraya al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Brigades, the National Resistance Brigades, Nasser Salah ad-Din Brigades, the Popular Resistance Committees and all forces.
