The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, issued a statement on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, mourning the general commander of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ibrahim Abu Albah (Abu Nidal), who was assassinated yesterday by an enemy airplane which targeted him.
AAMB's response was not limited to issuing a statement but took an active form, as AAMB and the National Resistance Brigades carried out a joint operation, targeting Sderot with one developed missile at 12:25 AM, and shelling the military site east of Bureij with 4 mortars at 1:20 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, and also a joint operation with Al-Aqsa Brigades in the early hours of Tuesday targeted Zionist forces with an RPG and a roadside explosive device.
AAMB's statement stressed the importance of the unity of our people's resistance in continuing to struggle against occupation and oppression, and highlighted that no matter how many times they target our leaders and our fighters with their criminal policy of assassination, the resistance will continue to stand steadfast.
