AAMB and Al-Quds Brigades directly hit occupation military vehicles near Kissufim

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades fired two mortar shells at Israeli military vehicles near the settlement and military base of Kissufim on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. The mortar shells made a direct hit with enemy military vehicles, causing serious casualties.

The two organizations' fighters also clashed with undercover Israeli occupation forces who raided the home of Al-Quds Brigades leader Yousif Smairi in Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis and murdered him on Wednesday, March 5.

In addition, AAMB fighters clashed with occupation near a cemetery in the eastern part of Gaza City on Wednesday. AAMB also launched several Sumoud rockets at Kfar Aza, Sderot and Asqelan.

On Tuesday, March 4, 2008, AAMB launched 2 Sumoud missiles at Asqelan and three mortar shells toward the military base at Sufa checkpoint, as well as firing four mortar shells at the Karam abu Salem border crossing.

AAMB announced that these operations come in ongoing response and resistance to the crimes of the occupation against our people, its massacres, assassinations and further threats of invasion, and to show that the resistance will never be defeated or silenced by the massacres and crimes of the enemy. These operations also come to show the power of joint resistance and resistance unity against the occupier, said AAMB.
